Hi, I’m Josh – also known on the air as W0HC. I’ve been a licensed ham radio operator since 1991, and I’ve worked in the communications industry for over 30 years.

This site is a place for me to share a little about who I am, my hamshack setup, and anything else that might be of interest to fellow hams and curious visitors alike.

When I do get on the air, you’ll usually find me on 10 meters or 20 meters—my favorite bands. These days, my operating time is pretty limited, especially during the summer months when family life takes priority.

In the past, I volunteered with our local Emergency Management Agency, where we built a strong partnership. That collaboration led to the creation of a local ham radio club, the installation of a 2-meter repeater, and the setup of a well-equipped Emergency Operations Center radio station.

Outside of ham radio, I dabble in computer repair and hold a CompTIA A+ Certification.

I’ve always been interested in weather, so in 2020 I joined CoCoRaHS.

I am a member of Quarter Century Wireless AssociationTen-Ten International, ARRL, and O.M. International Sideband Society.

Thanks for stopping by—feel free to look around and see what I’ve been up to!
